Your Role

• The Enterprise architect must have a holistic understanding of the organization's business and IT landscape and focus on the big picture of strategy, structure and process.
• Enterprise Architects in Aptiv will Build and Maintain excellent relationships within the business and become trusted advisors on the adoption and alignment of business and technology strategy.
• Through the use of clear architectural models and the help of solutions and technical architects within respective towers/domains, they support the definition of business goals and supporting roadmaps.
• They are in charge of analyzing current trends in technology architecture and educating technology departments about new frameworks and best practices.
• Through informed understanding of strategic goals and capacity they will delegate specific tasks to the solution and technical architects associated with project delivery and strategic advancement of the key towers.
• Within Aptiv the Enterprise Architects will define Architecture Principles, Policies and standards to a level that supports business direction and technology change.
• Enterprise architects will Manage Governance and Guidelines associated with the architecture process and in particular the ARB (aligned to existing PMO process).
• Enterprise Architects will provide Architectural Support and direction to project teams including Solutions and Technical Architects involved in key strategic projects within Aptiv.
• Enterprise architects verify that the IT strategy is aligned with the organization's mission. It is their job to analyze business properties as well as the external environment and define all business needs.
• Enterprise Architects will manage the Architecture Review Board and be required to sign-off/approve on all projects reviewed at ARB.
• An Enterprise Architect will be responsible for evaluating and defining solutions in line with the Architecture process within Aptiv.
• The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for identifying key domain/tower architecture resources required to complete the design documentation (HLD).

• System Design: Ability to create scalable, maintainable architectures that meet business requirements
• Programming Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant programming languages and frameworks
• Cloud Computing: Experience with major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
• Database Design: Knowledge of both SQL and data modeling
• API Design: RESTful services, GraphQL, microservices patterns
• Security Architecture: Understanding of security principles, authentication/authorization, and compliance requirements

• Requirements Analysis: Translating business needs into technical solutions
• Cost Optimization: Balancing technical excellence with budget constraints
• Strategic Thinking: Aligning architecture decisions with long-term business goals

• Communication: Explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
