YOUR ROLE
As an Engineering Assembly and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading assembly manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while supporting business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
In your daily job you will:
- Lead and manage assembly manufacturing and maintenance operations to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Efficiency targets.
- Ensure execution of manufacturing and assembly processes in compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance programs for machinery, equipment, tooling, and facilities.
- Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, Quality, OEE, Scrap, 5S, and Downtime.
- Coordinate line balancing, resource allocation, and staffing to support production demands.
- Lead and support new product launches, equipment installations, and production ramp-ups (Run at Rate activities).
- Deploy structured problem-solving methodologies (A3, RPS, Root Cause Analysis) and ensure follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational stability.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability while maintaining cost control.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Lead and support internal and external audits related to manufacturing, maintenance, safety, and quality.
- Lead daily operational meetings and ensure execution of action plans.
- Develop technical skills, career paths, and training plans for team members.
- Lead, coach, and manage supervisors, technicians, and indirect staff to promote a strong safety culture and positive work environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other support functions.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing assembly lines, industrial maintenance, equipment, and facilities.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (automotive strongly preferred).
- Experience with new product launches and production ramp-up is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance (machinery, equipment, automation, and facilities).
- Understanding of assembly processes, line balancing, and manufacturing flow.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Solid background in structured problem solving and risk analysis (PFMEA, A3, Root Cause Analysis).
- Experience with Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Basic understanding of financial concepts related to cost control and budgeting is a plus.
- Advanced English (spoken and written).
