Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python (must), Shell/Bash scripting, automotive domain knowledge and automation. This role requires real hands-on experience in HIL testing, CAN protocol, hardware/lab setup, and end-to-end embedded system validation.

This is not a manual testing role. Candidates must have proven automation experience.

Your Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test strategies for automotive hardware platforms, embedded systems, and connected services.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python (must) and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Set up and manage hardware test labs, instrumentation, wiring, and signal validation.
• Perform HIL testing and simulation-based validation.
• Conduct CAN protocol testing using tools like Vector Canoe and Saint-2.
• Work in Linux environments to execute and automate embedded-level tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Implement API automation using Postman, REST libraries, or equivalent tools.
• Use PyVisa, PySerial, pytest, and similar libraries for hardware automation.
• Perform database validation on MongoDB and SQL systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware/software teams to debug and resolve issues.
• Use Jira for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain clear documentation of test plans, execution results, and quality metrics.

• Experience with Playwright for UI/Web automation.
• Experience with desktop automation tools like WinAppDriver, Pywinauto, etc.
• Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI tools like GitHub Copilot.

• Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
• Minimum 5 years of QA experience (Automation is a must; manual-only profiles will not be considered).
• Strong programming skills in Python (must) and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Solid automotive industry knowledge.
• Experience connecting and automating hardware systems.
• Hands-on experience with:
• HIL testing
• CAN protocol tools
• Lab setup and hardware validation
• Strong Linux experience.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, information technology, or related fields.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Familiarity with AWS, GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with signal processing, sensor integration, or RTOS environments.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and machine learning-based automation optimization.
• Experience with network protocols and security testing.
