CapEx Technical Program Manager - Applied Materials:

Applied Materials is looking for a Capex Technical Program Manager to drive expansion of its
global development capabilities. In this role, you'll turn capital investments into scalable
production infrastructure and support both new product introduction (NPI) and ongoing
improvement (CIP) initiatives. As a confident leader, you'll work closely with product, engineering,
operations, lab management, and finance to ensure our labs have the equipment, processes, and
readiness needed to meet business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full CapEx lifecycle, from scoping and budgeting through procurement,
installation, validation, and development readiness for key projects
• Lead capital planning for NPI and CIP programs, ensuring readiness across schedule,
budget, and technical requirements
• Partner with product, engineering, operations, procurement, and finance to align
equipment needs with program objectives and remove roadblocks
• Build and manage capital budgets, roadmaps, forecasts and financial models, working
closely with finance on reviews and reporting
• Effectively and succinctly communicate status updates of key projects
• Lead quarterly/annual audits to verify physical assets in lab and storage
• Improve processes and tools for CapEx forecasting, tracking, and analysis
• Identify risks and drive mitigation to ensure on‑time delivery of capital programs
• Support global development sites with up to 10% travel

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CapEx program management, new product development, or
supply chain, ideally in hardware or high‑growth environments
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end capital projects through validation and
production ramp
• Strong skills in capital budgeting, procurement strategy, and financial controls for
multi‑million‑dollar investments
• Experience managing cross‑functional programs with internal teams, vendors, and
international manufacturing partners
• Highly organized, analytical, and effective at turning complex challenges into clear
execution plans
• Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and an excellent communicator.
• Proficiency in Excel and SmartSheet, plus experience with project and communication
tools like PowerPoint, Microsoft teams, Slack, etc.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
