About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior TA Advisor with a strong background in Software hiring within the Semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building high‑performing technical teams, partnering closely with engineering and product leadership, and driving end‑to‑end recruitment for niche and senior‑level positions.
This role requires good understanding of semiconductor technologies, terminologies, fair understanding of BUs, equipment control software, and related engineering skill sets relevant to Applied Materials and similar high‑tech environments.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Hiring Strategy

  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment for niche and senior software positions across semiconductor engineering teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top technical talent from global and domestic semiconductor market pools.
  • Stay current with market trends, talent availability, salary benchmarks, and competitor intelligence within the semiconductor space.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with Engineering Directors, Software Managers, and HRBPs to understand business needs and workforce planning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing insights on talent pipeline, hiring challenges, and recommendations.
  • Conduct regular check‑ins, drive hiring committee discussions, and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build strong pipelines through advanced sourcing techniques including Boolean search, market mapping, networking, social recruiting, and referrals.
  • Engage, screen, and assess candidates for technical fit within domains such as:
    • Equipment control software
    • Java/C++/Python engineering
    • EDA tools and automation
    • Semiconductor process control & system software
  • Maintain warm pipelines for future hiring needs and succession planning.

Candidate Experience & Process Excellence

  • Deliver exceptional candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and professionalism.
  • Drive interview calibration, feedback processes, and data‑driven recruitment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with global hiring standards and DEI principles aligned with Applied Materials' values.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Manage dashboards, track hiring SLAs, and provide weekly and monthly hiring reports.
  • Optimize recruitment efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of recruitment experience, with at least 5 years focused on software hiring in the semiconductor or high‑tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor software roles, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Workday is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in hiring for senior‑level and niche technical roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consultative communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.
  • Experience using industry‑leading ATS and sourcing platforms.
