We are looking for a Software (Technical) Support Engineer to increase the Team in Bengaluru, India
Key Responsibilities
• Virtual Machine Support - Support and maintain a large cluster of virtual machines (VMs) running multiple Microsoft Windows OS (Server 2008 / Server 2019 / Windows 10 / CE 7 / etc.) with custom configuration and software interacting over a VLAN environment. Develop and release updated virtual machines for new product introductions - updated OS / software baseline. Maintain custom software configuration sets for existing product releases. Knowledge of VMWare infrastructure and functional operations required.
• System Software Troubleshooting - Microsoft/Networking/Applications (Analyze reported problems & Validate solutions -Provide troubleshooting plans to discover root cause - Deliver rapid resolution on systemic issues)
Understand, research, and resolve internal and external application and systems issues of moderate difficulty. Independently learn and investigate systematic bug or systematic software failures from internal teams. Track and report findings within internal ticketing system.
• Software Test & Validation (Collect & Incorporate Customer specific test scenarios -Construct virtual machines for testing & troubleshooting - Execute test plans to Validate Software & VM release). Work closely with development team on application release & deployment.
• Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions for Applied Materials' product releases. Develop and train field teams on software procedures related to virtual machines.
• Attend AMAT classes in designated product line and external classes for third-party software.

• Provide assistance in analysis of customer OS performance, integration and database management issues. Deliver updates and reports to managers, partners and peers.
• Assist in training junior level engineers in departmental procedures, corporate procedures, and detailed product operation.

Education: Bachelor or Master Degree (Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering)
