The PLM Teamcenter System Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of Siemens Teamcenter PLM and related engineering systems. This role ensures stable operations, user enablement, data integrity, and seamless integration with CAD and enterprise systems across the engineering landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Teamcenter Administration

Administer and maintain Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments (DEV / QA / PROD)

Manage users, roles, groups, privileges, and access control

Configure and support workflows, release processes, and change management (ECR/ECO)

Handle BOM management, item revisions, lifecycle states, and classification

Perform system configuration, preference management, and basic customization

Coordinate upgrades, patches, and hotfixes with vendors and IT teams

Engineering Application Support

Provide L2/L3 support for engineering users (design, manufacturing, quality)

Support CAD integrations (NX, Solid Edge, Creo - as applicable)

Troubleshoot issues related to check‑in/check‑out, dataset handling, CAD metadata

Support downstream integrations (ERP/SAP, MES, ALM, reporting tools)

Data & System Operations

Monitor system health, performance, and logs

Manage data imports, exports, migrations, and archival activities

Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery support in coordination with IT

Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with engineering standards

Process & Governance

Enforce PLM governance, naming conventions, lifecycle rules, and access policies

Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve business processes

Document SOPs, system configurations, and support procedures

Support audits and compliance requirements (ISO, SOX, internal audits)

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization

Support PLM enhancements and new module implementations

Participate in testing (UAT), validation, and change rollouts

Act as a bridge between business users, IT, and PLM vendors

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Strong hands‑on experience with Siemens Teamcenter (R11-R14+, AWC preferred)

Knowledge of PLM concepts: lifecycle, BOM, change management, configuration

Experience with CAD‑PLM integrations

Basic understanding of:

Linux/Windows servers

Databases (Oracle / SQL Server)

Scripting (BMIDE exposure is a plus, not mandatory)

Functional & Soft Skills

Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams

Good communication and documentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Teamcenter / PLM administration

Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or industrial engineering environments

Exposure to SAP‑Teamcenter integration

Siemens Teamcenter certification (preferred but not mandatory)
