As a Systems Engineer, you'll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You'll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you'll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering or application engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly for face-to-face interactions with local account teams and customers.
  • Experience with SEM tools or inspection systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel more than 10% annually, with typical trips lasting 2 to 3 weeks.

TCT-TW Systems Engineer - Job Description (Roles & Responsibilities)

Customer Support & Collaboration (Primary Focus)

  • Act as the on-site R&D representative, providing expert-level support for PDC tools, including Navigation, TPT, Scan, Detection, Algorithms, and Electron Optics.
  • Resolve customer tool issues through short-loop troubleshooting to maintain optimal fab automation and production flow.
  • Perform fault-isolation tests and collect data for unresolved issues, ensuring clear problem statements and effective escalation paths.
  • Lead customer-facing technical discussions, presentations, and issue-resolution activities.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with customer teams to identify high-value problems and improvement opportunities.

R&D and System Engineering (Secondary Focus)

  • Support new product development by collecting and analyzing fab data in collaboration with PDC engineers across multiple disciplines.
  • Ensure subsystem designs meet Market Requirement Specifications (MRS) through close coordination with Marketing and Project Management teams.
  • Lead architecture brainstorming sessions and drive systems engineering processes.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses and evaluate alternative design approaches.
  • Support system integration, testing, and reliability validation during product development.
  • Contribute to cross-disciplinary projects involving electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithm, and software design.
