As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.
What You'll Do
We are expanding our team at the Delft site in the Netherlands. As part of this small, agile team, you'll play a key role in developing and validating MEMS modules, with a strong focus on instrumentation, test development, and automation. Your work will span the product lifecycle-from designing and building test setups to ensuring accurate characterization and supporting process scaling.
You'll help define how the team grows, taking ownership of future tasks directly or through leadership. While the role is multidisciplinary, we are particularly looking for candidates passionate about measurement systems, data acquisition, and test automation.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate test setups for MEMS modules
- Develop instrumentation strategies for electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing
- Prototype MEMS modules in a cleanroom environment
- Translate R&D into scalable, test-driven production processes
- Implement robust data acquisition and analysis workflows
- Support lab operations and maintain test equipment
- Contribute to yield improvement and root-cause analysis through advanced diagnostics
- Assist with quality systems and documentation, focusing on test compliance
What You'll Need
- Degree in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation, sensors, and automated test systems
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis (LabVIEW or MATLAB experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with MEMS, cleanroom processes, and characterization techniques
- Knowledge of process control; quality experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and collaboration skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
- Comfortable in a flexible, evolving environment
