In Applied Materials Alzenau, we specialize in developing advanced display and OLED technologies, offering solutions for a broad range of applications, from architectural designs to packaging solutions.
We are looking to hire an Operations and Customer Quality Engineer to reinforce our local team.
Key Responsibilities
- Incoming Quality Control (IQC) - Conduct goods receiving inspection, primary for cosmetic issues
- Manage quality notifications, lead MRB (Material review board) and make disposition
- Track and follow up corrective actions
- Outgoing Quality Control (Include the document checking and create Quality notification for OQC findings)
- Plan and conduct source inspection at supplier sites to ensure compliance with specifications and Quality standards
- Tracking of field quality issues
- Interface for supplier FAI (First Article Inspection) problems with FAI review team
Functional Knowledge
- Possesses knowledge of manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities to support technical reviews and collaboration.
- Able to understand mechanical drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
- Ability to analyze Quality data using tools such as Pareto charts, control charts and propose effective improvement actions.
- Familiar with general SAP QM (Quality Management) module
- Proactively identifies Quality issues and lead cross-functional efforts for continuous improvement.
Interpersonal Skills
- Skilled in communicating with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and quality groups to ensure alignment
- Effectively communicates complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to cross-function teams
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Fachhochschule) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3 years of experiences in Quality-related roles, including inspection, problem-solving, and supplier collaboration.
- Preferred certifications:
- CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)- ASQ
- Six Sigma Green Belt or above
- Willingness to take part in local and international business trips (at least 20%)
- Strong communication skills in German and English, verbally as well as in writing.
