Key Responsibilities:
- Act as technical liaison between field to factory manufacturing process.
- Responsible for related technical support aspects at a specific customer: escalation, system installation, improvement programs and upgrades.
- Involves in upfront Configuration accuracy Review Meeting (CaRM) and Non-Standard Request (NSR). Drive accuracy of customer shipped configuration and BOMs (bill of Materials).
- Ability to analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) and work on change control processes including Non-Standard Request (NSRs) or Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Perform Validation Inspection (MVI) for specific customer tools that is part of the Tool Readiness Assessment (TRA) process.
- Monitor factory's manufacturing progress and alert stakeholders for critical actions.
- On-site presence at customer site to gain understanding of customer specific needs, system installation risk, manufacturing related non-conformances.
- Lead and participate in Failure Analysis (FA) activities to identify and resolve long-term technical issues. Contribute to reducing tool installation and warranty (I & W) costs through proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational data; develop and implement recommendations.
- Builds and maintains customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and the sharing of collective knowledge. Consistently able to operate in high pressure or ambiguous situations. Solicits customer feedback.
- Prepare project plan and coordinates the attainment of project deliverables from planning to implementation. Maintains matrix for process improvements.
- Document and mitigate non-conformance repeats.
Functional Knowledge
- Require functional expertise, broad company knowledge (how own area integrates with others) and additional industry or business knowledge.
- Has working knowledge of production system SAP, iOMS.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods & commodities as related to product and cost structure.
- Reasonably good experience in Project Management.
- Experience in semiconductor industry - Wafer fab equipment installation / process development or similar electromechanical equipment is preferable
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience working on Semiconductor equipment - either in manufacturing or as field/technical service. Preferably CVD equipment.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience.
- Strong independent work ethic.
- Willing to travel 30% ~ 35% of the time, with trips lasting a minimum of two weeks.
