We are seeking a confident and execution-oriented professional who is looking to increase their impact and take on meaningful responsibility in a dynamic and evolving organization.

In this role, you will own and drive the implementation and day-to-day operation of ethics and compliance processes in Korea, including anticorruption, conflicts of interest, investigations, and third-party risk management - while contributing as a key member of the global Ethics & Compliance team to advance regional and enterprise-wide initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a pragmatic operator who combines sound judgment with strong organizational and project management skills to drive initiatives forward, collaborate effectively with legal and business partners, and reinforce ethical decision-making in day-to-day operations.

This is an individual contributor role, responsible for independently driving and executing Ethics & Compliance program activities in Korea and actively participating in APAC and global projects.

Key Responsibilities

Ethics & Compliance Program Ownership - Korea

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of the company's Standards of Business Conduct, ethics policies, and compliance standards in Korea, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC), conflicts of interest, gifts, meals, entertainment, and travel (GMET), and third-party risk.
  • Serve as the primary in-country point of contact for ethics and compliance processes, ensuring alignment with Korea-specific legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end review and processing of third-party due diligence, including analysis of adverse information and escalation where appropriate.
  • Drive the implementation, tracking, and continuous improvement of global and regional Ethics & Compliance programs and controls in Korea, including audits, risk assessments, and training completion.
  • Proactively identify operational gaps and develop and implement process improvements to mitigate emerging risks.
  • Interpret and apply global Ethics & Compliance policies in the context of Korea's business practices and regulatory environment, exercising sound local judgment and providing recommendations to the global team.

Global & APAC Collaboration

  • Contribute as an active member of the global Ethics & Compliance team, participating in cross-regional projects, program design, and best-practice sharing across APAC and beyond.
  • Lead the localization and rollout of global compliance initiatives in Korea, ensuring effective adoption while reflecting local business context and regulatory nuances.
  • Collaborate with global compliance teams and control functions (Finance, HR, Internal Audit, etc.) to ensure consistency and effectiveness of issue management processes across the region.

Investigations and Speak Up

  • Manage and conduct internal reviews and investigations into allegations of misconduct, policy violations, or unethical behavior, including intake, triage, documentation, and resolution.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and other functions to drive investigation outcomes, remediation efforts, and disciplinary processes to closure.
  • Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of local Speak Up channels, fostering a culture of trust and transparency.

Training and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Design and deliver local compliance training sessions, including anti-corruption and Code of Conduct training, tailored to the Korea audience.
  • Plan and lead regional compliance activities, meetings, and events (such as Ethics & Compliance Week), ensuring strong coordination and participation.
  • Act as a trusted compliance partner to business teams, providing practical, actionable guidance and reinforcing program expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships across functions and levels, demonstrating the confidence to appropriately challenge and uphold compliance standards where needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance program management (ideally within the high-tech or manufacturing industries).
  • Fluency in Korean and strong proficiency in English (written and verbal) required.
  • Bachelor's degree required; law degree (LL.B. or equivalent) and qualification to practice law a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity, with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and deliver results with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Comfort working with AI and software applications utilized in compliance programs (e.g., Copilot, Excel, SharePoint) and leveraging data to support reporting and tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively with legal professionals while maintaining a practical, business-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Japanese is a plus for candidates who meet the above requirements.
