The FP&A Director serves as the senior finance partner for the Display and Flexible Technology (DFT) Segment. This role is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, and for translating complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for senior executives, product groups, and investor-facing stakeholders.

The position requires strong executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed, global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the financial cadence, calendar, and target-setting processes for DFT business units worldwide, including CMT, BSR, Close, and QBR cycles.
  • Lead financial modeling efforts, monitor outcomes against plans, and continuously refine models to improve forecast accuracy and decision support.
  • Interpret financial results and business drivers, translating them into actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Lead OPEX and CAPEX analysts in the U.S., and provide functional oversight to COE and ACE teams globally, covering systems, forecasting, consolidations, and end-to-end FP&A support for the DFT segment.
  • Build and scale standardized processes, tools, and data repositories to improve consistency, efficiency, and analytical rigor across the finance organization.
  • Serve as the primary finance program lead for key initiatives, including GMLT support, Copilot adoption, ERP implementation, and broader systems and structural improvements.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to segment leadership, ensuring alignment between segment priorities and corporate financial requirements.

Core Skills

  • Leadership & Execution: Proven experience leading direct and matrixed teams in complex, global environments with high ambiguity. Demonstrated ability to set long-term vision, establish priorities, build execution plans, and review progress with discipline.
  • Communication & Influence: Ability to distill complex financial information into concise, compelling narratives for executive audiences and to influence cross-functional partners.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls, enabling effective guidance to business partners.
  • Analytical & Systems Expertise: Advanced financial analysis skills, with strong interest and capability in modeling, data visualization, and financial systems.

Factors of Complexity

This role operates in a highly complex, global environment and requires the ability to:

  • Lead strategically with strong executive presence, resolving complex technical, operational, and organizational issues to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Interpret segment-level and corporate requirements to develop integrated execution plans for finance teams across multiple countries.
  • Process, synthesize, and integrate incomplete or imperfect data from diverse sources to support effective decision-making.
  • Manage multiple priorities and large-scale initiatives, anticipating upstream and downstream impacts of decisions.
  • Integrate and align multiple business functions through finance leadership.
  • Actively promote Copilot-enabled productivity and AI-driven finance transformation.

Leadership Temperament

  • Maintains composure and sound judgment under pressure and in situations of conflict.
  • Focuses discussions on solving problems rather than assigning blame or focusing on personalities.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, challenges the status quo, and actively seeks better solutions.
  • Acts as a persistent and constructive force for change, even in the face of organizational or systemic barriers.
