Apple's SAR Engineering team is looking for a Technician to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple's wireless products.
Description
• Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups.
• Coordinating with engineers within SAR team to ensure product validation covers all certification tests.
• Execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features.
• Debugging marginal/failure tests with senior engineers within team and help drive design changes to address issues.
• Maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration.

Collaborate with SAR engineering teams to ensure comprehensive product validation coverage for all certification requirements.
Execute validation plans for RF Exposure software features and drive design changes to address compliance issues.
Debug marginal/failing tests with senior engineers and provide technical analysis and recommendations.
Maintain test equipment through regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance verification.
Support Regulatory Compliance teams in planning and executing final certification testing at third-party laboratories.
Create technical documentation including test reports, validation summaries, and certification support materials.
Stay current with RF exposure regulations and testing standards across global markets.
Preferred Qualifications
Working experience of engineering testing, in particular hands-on experience for wireless measurements.
Working experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e. CMW).
Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth.
Experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, ETSI, 3GPP.
Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years minimum related experience required.
Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.
