Watch Systems Architect
The Watch Systems Architecture team is seeking a deeply technical engineer to shape the future of wearable technology. As a key member of our team, you'll define the next generation of our cutting-edge products by translating user experiences & features into robust system specifications. You'll have the opportunity to delve into complex system-level challenges, collaborate with brilliant engineers across various disciplines, & contribute to a product that impacts millions of users worldwide.
Description
We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in Electrical and/or Computer engineering, a track record of building complex systems, and a love for technical depth. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading cross-functional teams and a proven ability to distill complex technical details into clear, actionable strategies. Responsibilities include:
System Design & Architecture:
Develop and evolve the architecture for Watch systems with a focus on technical depth & innovation, ensuring alignment with both technical and user requirements.
Design features end-to-end: partition hardware, firmware, drivers.
Problem Solving & Innovation:
Dive deep into technical challenges, leveraging expertise to propose innovative solutions.
Conduct comprehensive analyses and risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
Drive innovation through rapid prototyping / emulation / simulation / emulation.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages curiosity and continuous learning.
Distill complex concepts into clear, strategic directions for team members and stakeholders.
Engage in active listening to understand team dynamics and project needs, facilitating effective communication across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's / PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Computer architecture, Networking, or Embedded Systems.
Experience with wearable devices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5 years in system design and/or SOC architecture.
Experience leading/working effectively within diverse teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical details to varied audiences.
