Description
The Apple Watch System EPT drives and owns our FATP Build Matrix for all New Product Introduction (NPI) builds. As System EPT, you will work directly with and be responsible for meeting with PD (Product Design), RF (Radio Frequency), and other teams to build system Bill of Materials (BOM) to required specifications. These massive matrices (200+ configurations and 1500+ component options) are complied by gathering information and dependencies from Technical resources/Engineers, Module owners, EPMs, EPSs, and GSMs across the entire Watch cross functional community. The System EPT then integrates these plans in a traceable set of instructions (Build Matrix) for our system level CM partners to execute. Furthermore, the System EPT acts as the leader among the procurement, EPS, and GSM communities in supporting all material, logistic, and financial aspects of our Watch System NPI builds.","responsibilities":"Drive cross-functional teams towards consensus of requirements and interdependencies between different parts and design options. Encode those dependencies into the Build Matrix where possible, track manually where not.
Lead complex material availability discussions Clear to build meetings (CTB) with EPS and CM teams to review status of execution plans. Navigate CTB related changes with technical EPMs and engineering teams as needed to ensure build input can continue with no downtime.
Manage CM EPS and business teams and and resources to support ever changing build priorities and requirements.
Succinctly communicate overall CTB status to System EPM and management teams on regular basis (daily during build events).
Present overall build CTB projections and risks to executive management during BRRs (Build Readiness reviews).
Own budget for the system level NPI builds. Work with CM on quotes/invoices and approvals from Apple teams and drive PR/PO (Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order) process
Point person for allocation database, engage with cross-functional partners on negotiation of allocations
Work with System BOM EPS to communicate and confirm MP (Mass Production) intent materials to generate BOM (Bill of Materials)
Respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture
Be ready and available to work across timezones to accommodate workflows with CM's and cross-functional partners abroad
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing or material planning a plus
Has the capability to create automation of processes using AI or coding
Off-hour support experience through email, slack, phone or WebEx
Knowledge of product development processes as well as an understanding of manufacturing processes
NPI program management background
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience
Experience managing, organizing and maintaining large quantities of data
Unparalleled multitasking abilities
Detail oriented accuracy
Top-notch critical thinking skill-set
Strong communication (written and verbal) within our team and across the organization.
Self motivated with ability to adapt and react to resets and changes in a time sensitive environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large cross-functional team
Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support prototype builds and execution
Ability to nimbly work within Numbers, Excel, Keynote, and macOS

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
