You will be responsible for editing and updating metadata and integration of content for multiple software releases for our consumer video products.

Our small, collaborative team creates industry-leading creative applications that empower creators across photography, video, music, and design. We work cross-functionally across multiple lines of business, solving complex technical challenges while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

In this role, you will bridge design vision and technical implementation by translating creative designs into production-ready assets, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and providing technical expertise across our product suite. Description

As a Video Integration Engineer, you will support the creation, optimization, and refinement of content across Apple's creative product suite. Your responsibilities will span content development, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration:

- Support the addition of new content into applications and update existing content to meet evolving product requirements across multiple creative tools and lines of business

- Translate design specifications into technical assets and production-ready content, working closely with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation

- Test new and experimental tools and processes, identify bugs in content, and troubleshoot issues with meticulous attention to detail

- Explore emerging technologies to discover creative ways to enhance existing content or develop entirely new solutions

- Design, implement, and iterate on prototypes in collaboration with cross-functional team members

- Manage metadata, file formats, image and video compression, graphics sizing, and color correction across all deliverables

- Provide technical support and expertise to team members across lines of business on production challenges, optimization, and best practices

- Document processes and workflows to ensure consistency and enable team knowledge-sharing

- Test and validate all work to ensure it meets user interaction guidelines and performs optimally across devices and platforms

- Work onsite as part of a collaborative, high-performing team

You'll wear multiple hats on our small team, including production responsibilities. You obsess over details-ensuring every asset is properly formatted, color profiles are consistent, and pixels are precisely placed. You navigate competing priorities, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and maintain composure under deadline pressure. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with 3D modeling and compositing tools (Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar)

Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tool development

Experience with design collaboration tools (Sketch or similar)

Knowledge of iBooks Author and content publishing workflows

Experience optimizing content for memory and performance

Ability to collaborate with engineers to resolve technical problems

Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience designing with user interaction guidelines and accessibility in mind

Experience supporting multiple teams or lines of business on technical initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with Mac OS, Adobe Photoshop, and iWork suite (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)

Hands-on experience with video production, motion graphics, or animation tools (After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion)

Proficiency with software development workflows (Xcode, terminal, GIT, local builds)

Experience with file formats, compression techniques, graphics optimization, and color management

Expert-level experience using Airtable is highly desirable

Background in software, web, or game development

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
