You'll bring devices to life, enabling them to understand and respond to their users in ways previously unimagined.

Description

By joining the Touch ID team you will work with a passionate engineering team in a pivotal role leading the development of cutting-edge fingerprint biometric sensors. You will be engaging in the entire sensor development lifecycle, from concept to mass production. You will be applying your expertise in analog and digital circuits to design sensing modules and evaluate coexistence, electrical performance and product integration. You'll tackle challenges at the intersection of analog sensing, signal integrity, miniaturization, and security where micron-scale decisions impact billions of daily authentications.

You will bring experience representing your team's work in high-stakes forums, shaping technical strategy through persuasive communication, and mentoring others in presenting their work effectively.","responsibilities":"Shape the technical vision for Touch ID sensors that ship to hundreds of millions of users - defining how people securely unlock their devices, authenticate payments, and protect their digital lives.

Mentor and lead a team of engineers, guiding them through the process of schematic capture, PCB design, characterization, validation, and failure analysis.

Navigate complex cross-functional dependencies, building strong relationships with silicon, algorithms, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams in assessing technical risk, solving technical issues and defining strategy and convergence plans to meet product requirements.

Present technical strategy and program issue status to senior leadership on a regular basis.

Lead the electrical engineer team in performing coexistence, signal and power integrity, and electrical integration assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of lead or management experience

Experience with product development process from early architecture through mass production.

Experience with sensor designs or biometric system development

Experience using AI tools to augment or improve workflow.

Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting tools.

Experience with statistical analysis of production data (JMP, Tableau).

Experience in FEA, simulation, and modeling tools (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell).

Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, etc.) & circuit simulation (SPICE).

Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)

Minimum Qualifications

Strong EE analog fundamentals with demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development.

Leadership experience managing engineers and cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to present complex technical topics clearly and concisely, influencing decisions and securing buy-in from senior leadership with experience deep diving into complex technical challenges, identifying root cause hypotheses and solutions in a cross-functional environment.

Experience creating engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.

BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
