APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Own verification and validation strategies for embedded systems that run Health algorithms on watchOS and iOS devices by defining, implementing, and executing testing solutions to validate Firmware. Develop automation test scripts and libraries to test against the requirements of the feature definition and by creating robust and reusable test infrastructure code. Analyze and triage test results by parsing through logs and reproducing issues found in test failures. Work with Algorithm, SW, and FW development teams and Regulatory team to ensure timely delivery of quality product. Work cross-functionally to drive quality and communicate results. Write comprehensive test guidelines from engineering specifications and data sheets. Use diagnostic software and hardware to isolate and debug complex issues. Collaborate with developers to resolve low level issues. Analyze how new features or designs impact the customer experience. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,931 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
• Using Scripting languages (Python and Java), and experience in developing test scripts and automation infrastructure.
• Understanding microcontroller based embedded systems and algorithms.
• Experience in communication protocols for embedded systems.
• Using debugging tools.
• Collaborating with engineers and management cross-functionally.
• Experience working with firmware and embedded systems concepts, including drivers, algorithms, and software.
• Applying Agile and Devops methodologies.
