Tools and Automation Engineer, Release Validation Automation

We're looking for a Tools and Automation Engineer to help maintain the stability, reliability, and quality of macOS, iOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS releases. In this fast-paced and dynamic team, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies to enhance our testing capabilities for new features. Description

We are seeking a motivated and highly technical engineer to design, build, and enhance automation frameworks and end-to-end functional tests. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Automation and QA Engineers to develop robust, scalable solutions that drive productivity and ensure high-quality software delivery. If you thrive on cross-functional collaboration and enjoy applying cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems, this role is for you. We're looking for someone who can think strategically and deliver innovative solutions that expand test coverage, accelerate release cycles, and help us consistently deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with XCTest and Xcode.

Excellent knowledge and experience with test methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, etc).

Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperatively.

Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.

Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.

An enthusiasm for user-focused design & high-quality products.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple.

Minimum Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science or related field

3+ years of directly related work experience can substitute for the education requirement

Strong foundation in core computer science concepts and software engineering principles

Strong development skills in Swift, Python, Objective-C, C++ or similar languages
