Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop and execute software test plans to ensure functionality of consumer electronics. Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system. Create test strategy and test plan for software development life cycle and provide constructive feedback on continuous improvements using the industry standard tools for software testing. Collect key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide suggestions to improve software behavior; support testing of multiple AR/VR technology features and driving the quality via extensive hands-on functional testing of user-facing features and systems. Execute regression testing on the changes from development teams. Work on deep integration with software development engineers to develop test plans, design user studies, triage bugs, and support design reviews. Work closely with automation teams to prioritize and expedite automation initiatives. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $187,741 - $258,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

Developing the lifecycle of mobile, desktop, or server-side software applications from beta phases through to production.

Designing and executing functional and non-functional software testing methodologies, such as unit, integration, performance, and stress tests.

Using build and integration CI/CD systems, such as Jenkins, Travis, or CircleCI to automate the build, integration, and testing of software.

Debugging and troubleshooting software issues at multiple layers including application, firmware, and wireless protocol stack levels.

Performing deep-dive protocol analysis using tools such as Ellisys Bluetooth Analyzer and Teledyne to identify issues in packet sequence, connection parameters, PHY configurations, and BLE advertising intervals

Utilizing version control systems, such as Git, Perforce, or Subversion to manage source code and track changes in software projects.

Translating design requirements into functional testing requirements and concrete quality strategies.

Utilizing UNIX shell environments and command line tools leveraging Bash or Zsh to navigate file systems, manage test environments, and execute test scripts.

Programming client-side software applications with Python, Swift, or Objective-C to develop automated test scripts and tools for quality assurance.
