Description
The System Test Design Lead (TDL) champions product calibration and test strategy while balancing tradeoffs between quality, customer experience, and operational requirements. The TDL integrates with various teams across design, software, and operations on new product definition to enable product characterization and provide efficient test solutions for high volume manufacturing. This individual is a natural leader who will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and significantly impact Apple's products.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with integration of one or more of the following technologies: Acoustics; Display, Touch, Imaging Sensors, Motion Sensors, Automation.
Experience in hardware and firmware activities such as design, bringing up, debugging, and validating circuits.
Engineering build leadership, ownership for factory calibration & test strategy and bring up interfacing with factory teams.
Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods.
Willingness to travel internationally 5-10% of the time in 10-12 day trips.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering major or degree.
5-10 years of experience.
Excellent understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of sophisticated systems. Fundamental electrical engineering knowledge is a prerequisite.
Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, drive, and attention to detail.
