As a Technical Product Lead focused on Data Engineering, you will be the strategic bridge between data scientists, engineers, and product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to define, design, and deliver data products that empower teams to perform cutting-edge analysis, build machine learning models, and drive impactful business outcomes. You'll combine technical product management expertise with hands-on data engineering capabilities to prototype solutions and guide implementation.

In this role, you will lead the product strategy and project execution for strategic data solutions, maintaining deep technical involvement. You'll work closely with data scientists and engineers to understand their needs, prototype innovative solutions, and translate complex requirements into actionable data product roadmaps. You will drive the development of software components and end-to-end data products, establishing timelines, roadmaps, resources, critical paths, and budgets. Independently design and model datasets that enable data science capabilities.
Manage an evolving data schema ensuring that data structures can extend over time while also maintaining backward compatibility.
Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Science teams to design aggregate tables used across multiple teams and workflows.
Collaborate with data scientists to understand their data needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and prioritize data product development efforts.
Develop detailed data product requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with data science needs.
Define and champion the data product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data science capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in data warehouses, data lakes, real-time processing, ML platforms
Experience working with Commerce, Subscription or Pricing data systems
Track record of implementing innovative data architecture solutions
Experience with schema evolution and versioning strategies
Experience with data product management and customer-facing data solutions
Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Management, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture roles
5+ years of hands-on data architecture/product design, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models
3+ years leading enterprise data architecture initiatives and cross-functional technical programs
3+ years of experience in Python, SQL, and modern data stack technologies
Proven experience defining data strategy and architecture roadmaps aligned with business objectives
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
