Description
As a Software Engineer in WTE, you'll design and build next-generation wireless and connectivity solutions that bring Apple products to life. You'll work where hardware meets software-writing drivers, developing embedded firmware, and building full-stack systems that deliver high performance with low power. Your work will impact hundreds of millions of users around the world.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop drivers for custom wireless hardware.
Implement system-level boot, reset, and recovery flows for wireless chipsets.
Build robust debug tools and diagnostic systems for complex wireless platforms.
Develop full-stack solutions for inter-chip communication.
Optimize data paths for maximum speed and minimal latency.
Debug and resolve critical issues across the technology stack.
Collaborate closely with hardware, OS, and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with embedded firmware development.
Knowledge of communication buses (UART, USB, SPI, PCIe).
Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless protocols.
Familiarity with low-power optimization in embedded systems.
Experience with real-time operating systems and low-level programming.
Proven analytical skills across hardware/software boundaries.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for innovative problem-solving and finding elegant solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience writing drivers for large operating systems.
Proficiency in programming in C and/or C++.
Solid understanding of system programming (memory, process management).
Strong debugging skills in complex environments.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
