Description
This dynamic and fast-paced role continually elevates and adapts our applications and processes to the ever-evolving business needs. This role will focus on building tools, web apps, automation, and other solutions to accelerate the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team during new product introductions, while also leading the agile project management practices that drive those efforts forward. Approximately 30-40% of the role will be concentrated on software development-architecting and building systems to unify the organizations software tools. An additional 30-40% will focus on cross functional alignment and agile project management-including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, stakeholder coordination, and delivery tracking. Up to 20% of the role will involve oversight of critical software systems administration.
A successful Software Developer in Operations Systems Architecture is a self-starter, organized and goal-oriented; can turn an open-ended challenge into a clear, explainable plan; uses data to motivate decisions; communicates with ease at all levels; and has a strong drive to understand both the problem and the context when making decisions.
","responsibilities":"Working alongside a team of application developers, building and contributing code, demoing and reviewing code submissions before promotion to production.
Leading agile ceremonies-including standup, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives-and driving delivery tracking, dependency management, and blocker resolution across the team.
Identifying incremental or completely new system needs, seeking appropriate, aligned solutions and proposing, scoping, and motivating those solutions as projects with clear timelines and success criteria.
Collaborating with engineering and robotics specialists, data scientists and analysts, Contract Manufacturers, Logistics Providers, and various partners to drive projects to completion.
Overseeing administration of key systems to drive necessary business processes, and defining, prioritizing, and tracking automation projects to eliminate engagements that can be readily automated.
Supporting and modifying queries against databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and others as necessary to support changing data and structure in established data pipelines.
Formally reporting status, progress, risks, and roadmaps to the OSA team, users, and management (occasionally to VP level).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience querying SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL; experience with Snowflake a plus.
Experience with elements of web applications, including web design, application wire-framing, and technical roadmap planning.
Experience building CI/CD tooling to accelerate team's time to feedback and time to delivery
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of project experience and interest in architecting application interactions and building applications or services in manufacturing, supply chain, or large scale operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 10-15%.
Ability to evaluate and contribute code in TypeScript, Python, and Java, with React experience a plus.
Demonstrated experience leading agile teams and managing project delivery using frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, including backlog management, sprint metrics, and stakeholder communication.
Experience with RESTful practices and streaming/eventing platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ in support of applications and/or data pipelines.
Proven track record of owning and delivering on cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.","internalDetails":null
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $212,000 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
