Systems Quality Engineer - Vision Pro and Home
CO Salary Range: USD 130,200.00 - 237,600.00 per year

As a Quality Engineer, you will have a significant impact on helping to deliver functional and stable Apple Vision Pro experiences to millions of customers in a fast-paced environment. You will engage early in development phase to enable and qualify technologies across Apple Products like Vision Pro and the Apple Home ecosystem.
We are a group of diverse-minded systems QA engineers, responsible for driving integrated system testing with an emphasis on hardware-centric software risks and new software features for new/existing devices and their accessories. You will join a dynamic and curious group of people and our testing demands thinking out of the box, ranging from customer usage scenario research to designing complicated test procedures around it.

Description
As a Systems Quality Engineer, you will drive quality subjectively and objectively for features that integrate aspects of software, hardware and customer centered ecosystem scenario. Using data and your drive for quality, you'll advocate for fixes and coordinate with engineers across Apple to improve and maintain quality on new and upcoming releases.
Responsibilities:
Research user scenarios and follow up with developing, modifying, and executing tests for validation of software-hardware features
Work closely with development teams, to identify and understand key features and shipping criteria
Collaborate with team members, global labs and cross-functional groups to identify risk areas, develop testing around them
Assess subjective vs objective tests and work with area experts in team to create automated approach of validation
Report and represent QA concerns in cross-functional meetings and to management
Preferred Qualifications
Coding or scripting experience in Python or Bash
Familiarity with AR/VR concepts and usage of AI tools
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Sufficient knowledge of tools necessary for strong data analysis
Direct experience partnering with functional engineering teams, with exceptional ability to build relationships
Demonstrates QA skills with at least 2 complete product cycles, from inception to customer shipment
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent
3 years of Systems Quality Assurance or System Test experience, preferably on consumer-facing Hardware/Software products
Strong verbal and written communication skills including leadership representation
Detail oriented and organized with a strong discipline of adhering to standards
Basic understanding of machine learning models and AI applications

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,200 and $237,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
