Work multi-functionally with architecture, hardware, and software teams to help deliver surprise and delight in our latest products while maintaining great battery life and energy efficiency. This role requires the technical depth and expertise to understand how things work from the user interface down to the state transitions of each hardware block. This insight is instrumental to design experiments, derive insights from lab and field data, and convey the customer impact to engineering teams with potential solutions for optimization. Drive breakthrough battery life improvements through well-crafted experiments and quantitative data analysis, and deliver actionable optimization strategies to ensure features and products achieve ambitions power targets.

Shape product development throughout the design lifecycle, ensuring power-conscious implementation decisions from concept to launch.

Identify critical battery life opportunities for unreleased features and spearhead high-impact engineering initiatives using advanced power modeling.

Lead cross-functional investigations to identify and eliminate power inefficiencies, driving measurable battery life gains and enabling new user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing scripts/tools to distill and visualize data

Ability to work independently and learn new technologies

Excellent prioritization skills and focus

Minimum Qualifications

Strong understanding of hardware component and hardware/software interactions

Strong understanding of process/framework/kernel/firmware abstractions

Excellent debugging/triaging skills to solve impactful problems

Excellent spoken and written communication skills
