identifying and resolving component, system, and solution level design issues to ensure

the quality, reliability, and performance for these systems. You will be working with the

latest hardware and software. This is a highly collaborative position, working cross-

functionally with system hardware, silicon, and software design teams. You will design

test plans, flows, and frameworks for validating hardware and datacenter solutions and

support the team in enabling and executing these validation plans. This position is for

someone with deep understanding in the validation of datacenter systems and is hard-

working and passionate about architecting comprehensive hardware and system

validation plans and investigating complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8+ years of experience in datacenter hardware and system validation

Expertise in leveraging tools, benchmarks, and test solutions to evaluate system behavior and identify patterns and test cases that rapidly expose design flaws

Ability to identify, design, and develop tools that can expand test coverage

Experience developing and optimizing test framework and tools to create a controlled validation environment to support large scale validation

Experience interfacing with cross functional teams to successfully deliver results

Ability to design, define, and deploy new validation strategies to support new and changing platform architectures and interfaces

Deep knowledge of computer architecture and IO protocols

Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience in datacenter hardware and system validation

Demonstrated experience in architecting validation test plans, procedures, and frameworks for all components of datacenter platforms

Ability to review architecture and system documents and identify validation test cases and test plans

Hands on experience with hardware and system validation and tracking, analyzing, and reporting of critical data and results

Expertise in hardware bring up, debug and troubleshooting

Experience with test automation and large scale testing

Outstanding communication and collaboration skills

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
