The Live & Studio Production team is responsible for the execution of all live projects for Apple Music Services. You'll be part of a team that drives the production of live music shows, experiential programs and cultural activations, supporting business needs and the cultural roadmap for Apple Music.
Description
As Studio Production Manager you will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of technical production services for a variety of content, including live music performances, experiential programs and cultural activations in our new studio facility. You will assess technical project briefs and ensure production layouts and schedules are accurately drafted. You will also ensure that production services, crew and vendors are scheduled in line with the requirements of the project.
Responsibilities:
Partner closely with the DRI for each project to support the design intent and content output required to ensure technical production is executed at the quality and expectation of each project.
Coordinate with production vendors to accommodate the needs of the project, including staging and rigging systems, production staffing and equipment bookings.
Coordinate artist technical and equipment requirements.
Draft scaled production layout drawings.
Oversee the development and distribution of technical production schedules.
Coordinate artist technical advance, including production and backline requirements.
Coordination of production services and staffing across all departments, including lighting, audio, rigging, staging, scenic and camera department.
Manage production equipment inventory and maintenance schedules.
Coordinate rental equipment as required for the production or event.
Management of technical production budgets and associated production safety protocols.
Artist advance across a variety of music genres to include technical riders and backline requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Verifiable experience in production management or staging supervision on high-profile or large-scale live music productions.
An established entertainment, touring and vendor freelancer network.
Experience in using Showbiz entertainment budgeting software.
OSHA or equivalent safety training/certification.
Highly skilled at handling multiple, complex, concurrent deliverables. Able to respond and adapt to the needs of the team and content plan to ensure a high standard of work is delivered on time and to budget.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate strong partnerships and earn enrollment across partners in a complicated cross-functional environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, while working under tight deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Significant industry experience within a Senior Production Manager role, or applicable role working on high-profile live and studio/music performances.
7 to 10 years working knowledge and experience in production management or staging supervision in studio and live environments.

Your technical knowledge and experience will include: Production management, Entertainment rigging, Staging systems, Audio equipment (Backline and band gear and DJ equipment), Camera types, Lighting equipment and Power distribution.
Your entertainment experience includes an established industry network, including freelancers, vendors and artist production.
7 to 10 years Experience in a Production Management role working with established artist(s).
Knowledge of camera equipment and principles of video capture.
Show and technical production budgeting on high-profile studio and live shows.
Use of AutoCad or Vectorworks computer based design software to develop production layouts and ground plans.
Direct experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to rapidly changing production and artist schedules.
Ability to be onsite; this role is an in-person, onsite position
Up to 20% + travel required; both domestic and international
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,800 and $210,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
