The Strategic Planning Lead will be instrumental in translating our People team vision and purpose into tangible goals, actionable workstreams, clear KPIs, and a dynamic People roadmap. You will be the architect of disciplined planning, partnering with key teams to seamlessly stitch our technology roadmap and resource allocation to ensure we are optimized to deliver on our strategic objectives. In close partnership with the PMO, develop a dynamic, prioritized People roadmap that balances strategic and functional priorities, as well as essential business-as-usual or crisis responses.
Build and develop a robust People Team priority-setting and planning management system.
Partner with the Business Planning team to support strategic allocation of critical resources, ensuring focus on the highest-impact initiatives.
Design and manage the People Team's strategic calendar, synchronizing planning cycles, key Business events, People Team key moments and milestones for optimal alignment.
In partnership with PMO, establish robust planning frameworks, effective governance models, and transparent reporting mechanisms to rigorously track progress against key initiatives.
Craft executive-ready materials that clearly articulate progress, potential risks, interdependencies, and strategic trade-offs.
Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance planning efficiency, clarity, and scalability through optimized processes and innovative tools.
Working in close partnership with strategy, PMO, and business planning team, continuously seek ways to evolve our management system and processes to support the effective running of the People team.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into execution
Strong understanding and experience with various strategic planning frameworks (e.g, OKRs, Balanced Scorecard) and project management methodologies.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience crafting executive-level summaries and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into insights and
Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior leaders
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and navigating competing priorities
A self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving solutions
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in People strategy, HR leadership, strategy, and operations
Experience working with leadership teams to design and drive execution and enablement frameworks for a large, complex function
Proven track record of leading strategic planning, OKRs, or portfolio management

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,300 and $318,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
