We are currently seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Software Engineer. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Java Spring Boot backend development and React JS frontend development, combined with experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and LLMs to enhance engineering workflows. They should be passionate about creating modern, intelligent, user-friendly applications. In addition to technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ideal candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with business partners from diverse backgrounds and varying technical expertise levels.

As an Infrastructure Software Engineer, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop, build, and deploy Java Spring Boot-based microservices and React-based web applications, increasingly augmented by AI-assisted development tools and intelligent agents.","responsibilities":"Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications leveraging Java for backend development and React for frontend interfaces.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude to accelerate code generation, debugging, and documentation.
Build, configure, and leverage AI agents, Claude skills, and LLM-powered capabilities to automate routine tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance developer productivity.
Design adaptable and efficient web applications that prioritize exceptional user experiences, incorporating AI-driven features such as intelligent search and context-aware assistance where appropriate.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and technical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, AI-enhanced software solutions.
Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications - leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency at every stage.
Integrate applications with microservices-based architectures, enhancing performance, scalability, and security. Explore opportunities to embed AI-powered services within the microservices ecosystem.
Conduct thorough code reviews, uphold coding standards, and maintain high code quality across projects.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly in AI/ML and LLMs and proactively incorporate relevant innovations into the technology stack.
Preferred Qualifications
Over 5 years of experience in developing Java/J2EE-based web applications.
Experience working in Data Center Infrastructure Management domain is a plus.
Experience building or integrating AI agents and intelligent automation into applications or developer workflows.
Familiarity with Claude skills, prompt engineering, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or similar agent orchestration patterns.
Understanding of responsible AI practices, including output validation and human-in-the-loop design patterns.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in React and related frontend technologies, including experience with Redux and React Router.
Experience in Unix, Oracle, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools.
Hands-on experience in crafting and developing user interfaces, prioritizing responsiveness, accessibility, and a user-friendly experience.
Experience using AI-powered coding assistants and LLM-based tools like Claude to enhance development productivity and code quality.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
