Apple's Retail Store Analytics team is looking for a visionary leader with a data science or engineering background, executive-level communications of our data product strategy, and passion to use data at scale to drive global retail excellence. As Senior Manager of Retail Data Products, you will play a critical role in leading the future direction of Apple Retail Operations by integrating data and machine learning to delight customers and empower store employees. A successful candidate will possess strong technical business intelligence and machine learning knowledge, experience building digital products, an understanding of retail store dynamics, and the ability to effectively communicate product roadmaps to diverse stakeholders.

Through a team of BI Engineers and Product Managers, you will lead data-driven culture across Apple Retail Operations. Your team will design, refine, and create innovative data products-including a centralized hub of canonical dashboards and AI-driven conversational data tools-that deliver dynamic and intuitive decision-support. You will coach, lead, and empower team members to build scalable solutions that empower others.","responsibilities":"Develop next-gen strategy and tech stack for dashboarding and conversational BI that enables data-based decision-making for non-technical users across the retail stores organization.
Lead the deployment of high-impact AI/ML products which deliver multi-year improvements to customer experience programs, site selection, staffing & scheduling, and operational efficiency.

Partner with data science, analytics engineering, and data infrastructure teams to deliver tools which integrate seamlessly into user workflows.
Influence cross-functional business partners to design retail programs and technology that delight retail customers.
Build capabilities of individuals and team culture through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and coaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Data Science, Business) or equivalent experience
5+ years of leading data-focused teams, fostering inclusivity and diversity of thought
5+ years of working with retail data
2+ years of experience managing Machine Learning / AI tools in production
Ability to connect insights to business outcomes and influence strategy
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Data Science, Business) or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Product Management, Machine Learning, or equivalent
2+ years of leading and mentoring data-focused teams
2+ years of creating, communicating, and delivering on roadmaps for technical products
Proficiency in SQL and at least one dashboarding tool (eg Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Clear translation of complex technical concepts into non-technical terms

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,400 and $365,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
