Software Engineering Manager, Shared UI / UX - Creativity Apps

The Creativity Apps team is looking for an engineering manager with expertise in Apple platforms to lead a team of engineers building media management and collaboration features for creative tools. You'll be working with the world-class teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork to create next-generation tools for creators.
Description
This position is an opportunity to lead a team responsible for shared UI components for creative tools, working alongside experts throughout the Creativity Apps team. You are a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. You will work with design, quality assurance, and other cross functional teams to influence everything from user interface to project planning.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, people management, and a desire to help shape the product roadmap. In addition to engineering management, you should have experience in iOS / macOS development, have a keen eye for the user experience, and be able to drive product definition from concept all the way to delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in one of Apple's apps for creative pros & enthusiasts (Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, GarageBand)
Experience with modern concurrency in Swift, including async / await and actors
Demonstrated commitment to accessibility and localization
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years experience directly leading an engineering team on complex software projects
8+ years proven experience shipping high quality, tested code on iOS and / or macOS
Strong understanding of architectural patterns used in programming for Apple platforms
Strong proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework (SwiftUI, UIKit, AppKit)
Experience taking responsibility and ownership of features and the product roadmap
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of engineers and managers
Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build long-term relationships across the organization
Experience conducting interviews and applying best hiring practices
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
