Great insights require a robust platform that enables easy and fast access to and analysis of large amounts of data. The Core Telemetry Platform team is responsible for providing state-of-the-art platforms and tools to support the complete lifecycle of data, from creation to analytics and insight discovery. A key component of this is our Analytics Platform team, which focuses on developing client-facing analytics tools & technologies. This team is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the advancement of this portfolio. With a passion for software engineering and big data technologies, this leader will inspire a team of motivated and resourceful engineers to do the best work of their lives.

In this role, you will provide both technical and career growth guidance to the team members and define the technical vision for the team. You will also work with many cross-functional teams and lead the planning, execution, and success of technical projects.

Description

As the manager for the Analytics Platform team, you will enable the continued innovation and progress within the platform through research and development. You will manage the plans for the execution, testing, and roll-out of the solutions. A strong technical foundation is needed to provide guidance in the design and development of large-scale analytics tools for rapid data analysis. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging engineering problems across a broad range of Apple products. Responsibilities will also include managing, mentoring, and growing the team of software engineers. Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience leading a team of software engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in developing production software (C, C++, Python, or Java)

5+ years of experience working with distributed systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)

Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Strong analytical thinking to solve challenging problems
