Software Engineer, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems
Apple's Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. Description
Our team members are working on all aspects of Cellular modem Layer 1 control to come up with the best possible performance for any given problem. Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize core cellular technologies for Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Watch, others)
Work across multiple software layers including cellular protocol stack, Layer1 control and PHY interfaces, as well as close collaboration with system engineering, modem test engineering teams.
Design and implement cellular Layer1 control software solutions that enhance connectivity and user experience
Identify, investigate, and solve complex cellular technology problems
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance cellular systems
Contribute to innovation by challenging and evolving traditional cellular ecosystem models
Ensure continuous connectivity and seamless user experiences across Apple's wireless product lines

Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience designing, executing and launching cellular modem technology on Phones.
Strong Software Engineering skills including design, programming (using C, C++).
Excellent debugging skills
Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
