Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work with multi-functional teams to support product requirements for the iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch/Apple TV /Mac. Work on system software, device drivers, firmware and overall system architecture. Conduct bring-up, verification, and debug of new hardware platforms. Develop firmware and drivers. Drive product features and functional/industry specifications. Participate in specification for hardware platforms. Triage issues to identify and solve critical product blockers. Develop tooling to increase developer efficiency and ease of software/hardware maintenance. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,365 - $220,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

Experience and/or education must include:

Using C and C++ to develop Embedded system firmware and device driver code

Utilizing knowledge of hardware platforms & processor architectures to develop Embedded systems

Using hardware and software debuggers including JTAG and GDB to debug Embedded systems

Using operating systems knowledge to develop Kernel

Using assembly language in ARM or x86 to develop bootloader/startup code

Using algorithm and data structures to develop Embedded application

Utilizing scripting languages and tools including Python and git for code development
