The Enterprise SAP team implements ground breaking solutions across a diverse systems landscape. They are at the core of our ability to support the dynamic business needs and essential to the day-to-day operations at Apple.

We are looking for a SAP Application Engineer who can design and develop solutions in SAP catering to different Apple Business Units.

Description

We need an SAP Application Engineer to work hands-on on SAP projects using new SAP technologies. The Engineer needs to have a good understanding of SAP Sales & Distribution related processes as well as underlying enhancement framework and interfaces with supporting processes/systems. The Engineer should be able to independently work on projects and also with cross-functional and technical teams to complete the deliverables.

We are looking for a person who has varied experience to handle below responsibilities:

Write and review technical designs and work with different interface technologies like OData/SOAP based API's, IDOC's, BAPI's, RFC, HTTP & file based interfaces.

Design and Develop ABAP artifacts using expression-oriented syntax and Object Oriented concepts leveraging new ways of coding with Clean Core principles like CDS views, Restful ABAP Programming Model, ABAP Cloud","responsibilities":"Write and review technical design options, to be able to leverage new ways of coding in SAP, like using CDS views, Restful ABAP Programming Model, advanced OOPs, etc.

Work on new and advanced ABAP technologies and come-up with frameworks/architecture for future projects to implement, like integrating with non-SAP systems using REST API's

Ability to work on new modules like S/4 HANA with Clean Core principles

Focus on design-thinking and craftsmanship while delivering business-critical projects

Review work of development teams, identify gaps in processes and come-up with best practices to be adopted by contractor teams

Undertake PoCs on new technologies

Work with Vendors/SAP on co-innovation idea

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to monitor and improve performance, good debugging skills to reverse engineer processes as well as analyze and solve issues.

Effective oral & written communication skills with ability to articulate technical documents to non-technical audience

Good knowledge of SDLC and software craftsmanship with code review process, performance optimization to build resilient, scalable and performant enterprise applications

Basic understanding of Generative AI

Understanding of SAP UI5 / Fiori elements and SAP BTP

SAP ABAP development experience in S/4 HANA

Restful ABAP programming

OData Service

ABAP Cloud

Knowledge of Clean Core principles

Excellent speaking and articulation skills

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of experience in SAP development projects focusing on technical design, development, system integration, testing, cutover & deployment

2 years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0, S/4 HANA 2023 having knowledge of Order to Cash processes

2 years of ABAP development experience in RICEFW, OData service, REST/SOAP based API design & integration

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experieince is required
