Software Development Engineering Manager (Device Management)
Lead and inspire a team of engineers building the future of device management for Apple products in schools and businesses worldwide. As the Engineering Manager for Declarative Device Management, you'll guide the team responsible for the technology that enables device management tools from both Apple and third-party partners to remotely manage millions of Apple devices every day. As the Engineering Manager for the Declarative Device Management team, you will lead a team of dedicated engineers while driving the technical vision and execution of declarative device management solutions. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, ensuring your team delivers innovative OS-level functionality while growing their careers. You'll collaborate with leadership across multiple engineering teams throughout Apple, from system and Apple's App Store apps to low-level OS infrastructure. As most system components require management capabilities, you'll build partnerships across the company while representing your team's technical needs and contributions. You'll be responsible for project planning, resource allocation, and ensuring your team delivers high-quality solutions that delight education and enterprise customers globally.","responsibilities":"Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for declarative device management features and infrastructure

Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation across multiple concurrent initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent experience
Previous experience managing teams working on device management, security, or enterprise technologies
Hands-on experience with MDM, Declarative Device Management, or similar enterprise mobility solutions
Experience recruiting and building diverse, high-performing engineering teams
Contributions to open-source projects or technical community leadership
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of engineering management experience leading iOS, macOS, or systems-level development teams
7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Swift or Objective-C
Proven track record of shipping complex software products and frameworks
Deep understanding of Apple development technologies including CoreData, libdispatch, XPC
Experience with concurrent programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems
