Description
Join the Storage System Quality Engineering team, where we ensure the highest quality for storage technology at the heart of Apple products that surprise and delight millions of customers worldwide. As a Software Development Engineer in Test focused on Backup and Migration, you'll work on exciting new products in a fast-paced environment, collaborating directly with software development teams and QA teams cross-functionally. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical and debugging abilities, and a drive to make a meaningful difference in the quality of Apple's products.
You will join a dynamic team responsible for qualifying the latest Apple Products with a focus on Backup and Migration. Working hand in hand with Software Engineering teams, you will support code changes and increase the depth and breadth of related tests through both automated and hands-on testing approaches. ","responsibilities":"Developing and maintaining QA automation frameworks for iOS, macOS, Windows and/or Android platforms
Setting up and managing Continuous Integration systems that support multiple projects
Performing both documented and ad-hoc testing to ensure high-quality releases across all products
Reporting and tracking bugs, solving complex problems and triaging issues involving both hardware and software
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver work on tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience setting up Continuous Integration systems that support multiple projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deliver work on tight deadlines
Self-learner with ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes
Experienced with XCTest and Appiumsan
Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Strong hands-on experience with mobile test automation
Experience with Python, Swift, or equivalent system scripting languages
Strong Computer Science fundamentals
Experience reporting and tracking bugs and triaging issues (both hardware and software)

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
