Software Development Engineer in Test

Networking group develops control plane and data plane Networking stacks for Apple's innovative including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, and Mac OS. Leveraging adaptive machine learning techniques this group continuously enhances the user's Network connectivity experience.

Description

Networking Quality Assurance (QA) team is looking for a passionate software quality engineer to join us to develop and automate tests and work on performance characterization tests. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who has an aptitude to debug complex and layered software stacks. You will be self-motivated and will design and develop analysis and visualization software tools to improvise screening process efficiency. You will collaborate with multiple teams thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Have experience developing scripts and tools

Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment

Have familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols

Familiarity with network configuration protocols (e.g. DNS, DHCP, Bonjour, etc)

Track record of shipping high quality products

Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality

System performance characterization a plus.

Innovative, flexible, and results oriented with a positive attitude

Minimum Qualifications

BS/MS IN Computer Science or equivalent.

You have proven track record of defining and leading large scale quality initiatives of networking products.

You will have strong programming skills with Python, C/C++

You will have experience developing scripts and tools

You will have excellent communication skills

You have an ability to work with multi-functional engineering teams.","internalDetails":null

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
