Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design, develop, and maintain Phone and FaceTime software applications for Apple's OS platforms. Develop features for Phone calls, FaceTime Video calls, FaceTime Audio calls, Group FaceTime calls, SharePlay, screen sharing, and real-time collaboration. Maintain software applications for the features above, including triaging incoming bug reports, debugging, identifying fixes and testing software changes. Use industry-standard and proprietary software development tools and technologies for app development. Use Objective-C and Swift for writing application code on Apple platforms. Create user interfaces that scale across various Apple platforms. Write tests to validate software changes using industry standards and tools to verify functionality and regression test software against changes. Manage software development projects end-to-end. Assign priority for specific work items, scope features to determine the amount of time and effort required to complete work, load-balance across other team members and cross-functional partners to distribute work based on expertise, and schedule work to be completed based on Apple's software release schedule. Collaborate with other members of the Phone and FaceTime software development teams to review their work. Perform code review on changes across the Phone and FaceTime projects to validate changes, confirm functionality, and provide feedback. Work with cross-functional partners to define new feature requirements, plan software projects, develop test plans, design user interfaces, and implement software changes. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Education and/or experience must include each of the following skills:
  • Knowledge of Objective-C and Swift to work on large cross-platform codebases.
  • Using SwiftUI, UIKit, and AppKit to develop user interfaces.
  • Using object-oriented programming principles to design software architectures.
  • Using asynchronous programming tools, including APIs like Grand Central Dispatch, async/await, and actors.
  • Using XCTest, XCUITest, and software mocks to validate and test code changes.
  • Developing XPC services, frameworks, user agents or daemons.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across a variety of business roles, including marketing, Human Interface design, and quality assurance to assess the functionality of software features.
  • Utilizing software development project management methodologies, such as Agile and waterfall.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts like work effort estimates, and problem/ticket management.
