We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and motivated plumbing professional to join our team as a Plumber to support maintenance operations across our facilities and deliver a best-in-class employee experience through technical service and workplace reliability.

Description

The SME Plumbing Field Lead will perform preventive and corrective plumbing maintenance duties across Apple Facilities, ensuring water and waste systems operate efficiently, code compliance is maintained, and issues are addressed promptly. This role requires expertise in commercial plumbing systems, safety compliance, and service coordination and will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This will be a 4X10 day shift (Monday-Thursday, or Tuesday- Friday) ","responsibilities":"Contributes to an inclusive environment through respecting each other's differences and having the curiosity to learn.

Foster and maintain excellent relationships with various stakeholders including contractors, vendors, and building occupants.

Receive and complete assigned plumbing maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance on water systems, including inspections of pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.

Servicing and maintaining List Stations, Grease Interceptors, Booster Pumps

Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, fixture failures, and water pressure problems.

Install, replace, and maintain plumbing fixtures (toilets, faucets, sinks, showers, water heaters).

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Perform basic pipe work including cutting, threading, soldering, and fitting installation.

Conduct water quality and system pressure testing.

Provide prompt response to emergency plumbing issues and maintenance requests during assigned shift.

Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, repairs, materials used, and inventory.

Support vendor coordination and provide technical guidance when necessary.

Identify facility improvements and communicate them to leadership.

Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional presence.

Preferred Qualifications

Master Plumber License.

Additional years of experience (10+ years in commercial plumbing).

Experience with specialized commercial plumbing systems (e.g., medical gas systems, industrial piping, boilers).

Backflow Prevention Certification.

Experience with trenchless pipe repair and other advanced techniques.

Proficiency in using plumbing diagnostic tools and software.

Project management or lead plumber experience.

Bilingual skills.

Advanced safety certifications (e.g., Confined Space Entry, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience working and communicating with all levels of an organization.

Ability to manage customer service issues involving employees in a professional and positive manner.

Thinks critically and creatively about how to regularly improve process and operations.

Extremely proactive, responsive, and upbeat with strong organizational skills.

Excellent planning, analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects & priorities concurrently in a fast-paced, high growth, and results driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Journeyman license or 8+ years of experience in commercial plumbing.

Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations (local, state, and national).

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing systems.

Experience with pipefitting, soldering, brazing, and welding.

Troubleshooting and repair skills for commercial plumbing systems.

Familiarity with various piping materials (PVC, copper, cast iron, etc.).

Experience with commercial water heaters, pumps, and hydronic heating systems.

Knowledge of various drain cleaning methods including main and secondary cable machines, descalers and hydro-jetters.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $49.67 and $74.56/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
