Silicon Validation Engineer

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices.
In this role, you'll be responsible for lab characterization of Apple custom silicon devices. You will need to assure the system is meeting Apple's high quality power delivery standards before it's integrated in industry leading devices. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams within Apple such as hardware, software, architecture and product design teams.
Description
This position requires a strong background in silicon validation and power delivery network analysis. You will be part of the Silicon Validation Hardware Team. The primary responsibilities will be characterizing complex interactions between custom silicon devices on validation platforms. You'll develop and implement electrical validation plans for Apple's SoCs, including analysis of the power delivery network, high-speed interfaces, debugging.

Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of PMIC and power distribution
Good knowledge in hardware components and reading circuit schematics
Excellent lab skills and familiarity with lab instruments and measurement techniques.
Hardware and software debug experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Programming/scripting experience in Python/Tcl is valuable.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical, Computer or related degree program with at least 3 years of experience.
