Senior Tooling Engineer

This role involves collaborating closely with an enthusiastic team of Health Software engineers, integrators, and screeners to develop tools that support the development of the Health Software at Apple. Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled software developer to lead the planning, development, maintenance, and expansion of our tools that support Health software teams. ","responsibilities":"Plan, drive, and deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and timely execution
Develop tools that streamline triage and deep bug analysis, surface patterns in build failures, and help engineering quickly identify and prevent regressions
Maintain and enhance tooling that supports Health Software development and integration
Leverage AI to improve daily workflows and improve pre-existing tooling
Excellent communicator with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering teams, management, and partner organizations
Strong software engineering fundamentals and deep knowledge of the development life cycle
Proven track record of being proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Apple's internal tooling and development practices
Experience applying AI to enhance tooling and productivity
Familiarity with health, wellness, or medical concepts
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Python, Swift, and Bash
Proficiency with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
Proficiency in Git and source code management
Strong debugging and triage skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
