Senior PR Manager, Launch Communications

We are currently seeking a Senior Public Relations Manager for our Launch Communications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing large-scale events activities with media and influencers to drive understanding and excitement around Apple products. This role will focus on launch, planning, and liaising with teams that bring a product launch to life and leading the project management process as well as the day-to-day operations of a high-performing team.

The successful candidate will contribute energy, innovative ideas, and exceptional organizational skills to our launch initiatives. This role will lead a team that collaborates with various other teams and functions to create, implement, and deliver launch events that enhance awareness and comprehension of our key product launches. This may encompass other Public Relations managers, Country PR leaders, Product Marketing, Events, and Marcom.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate team alignment

Operationalize planning and processes

Identify new and efficient working methods

Provide executive clarity, and report back on progress

Lead collaborative Public Relations efforts during the launch window

Partner with the Events team and oversee the overall budget requests

Management of the team but also a deep understanding of the day-to-day operations of a launch

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA or equivalent experience preferred

Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization

Develops and delivers effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

Analyses of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

Understands internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs

Experience in media relations and have developed a network of media contacts in technology, consumer, lifestyle spaces

Experience in latest trends run podcasting, newsletters and growing needs in creator space

Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology

Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Superb attention to detail

Able to work with ambiguity and on complex topics across multiple jurisdictions

Skilled in multi-tasking, delivering under tight timelines, adapting quickly to change

Ability to run large scale budgets

Minimum Qualifications

12+ years of experience in Public Relations, Communications (In House or Agency)

Experience in running events at scale (US and International) is a distinct advantage

Successfully delivered creative PR campaigns/ product launches/ cultural events that have created meaningful, measurable impact

Proven track record in project management including being able to produce and run detailed timelines, deadlines and work backs

Excellent presentation skills including fluency in keynote (or equivalent) and presentation design

Deep understanding of media and creative landscape, who the key players are in the cultural, technology and lifestyle space

Fluency in English

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,200 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
