As a Senior Manager, Product Management at Apple, you will help lead product marketing for the System Experience across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS which includes system UI experiences such as Lock Screen, Home Screen, Control Center, Widgets, and StandBy. In addition, this includes leading system apps like Calendar, as well as efficiency features like Continuity, multitasking, file management, and Shortcuts, to input experiences like QuickType, emoji and Apple Pencil. In this leadership role, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to effectively mobilize cross-functional teams to accomplish a common goal. We are seeking candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and have a natural instinct to collaborate with others.
We are looking for a product marketing and product management leader who will play a key role in driving product strategy and roadmap, and crafting product messaging. You will have significant experience working closely with engineering leaders and cross-functional teams to define product strategy, positioning, and marketing activities.
Description
As Senior Manager, Product Management on the Worldwide Product Marketing team, you will help define product strategy, positioning and key product messages as well as position the product in relation to the competition. In addition, you will collaborate with a global cross-functional team including engineering, design, developer relations, public relations and marketing communications through the complete product development cycle.
You will also drive features and technologies that span iOS, iPadOS, macOS, thinking critically about how they apply to each platform to best fit the needs of the user. By closely following emerging technology, consumer, and societal trends, you will recommend how products will fit into those emerging trends. This includes collecting global customer, developer, and partner requirements for future product development and developing expert knowledge of competitive and 3rd party products. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to pursue in future products, and manage trade-offs involving features, schedule, cost, line positioning, and lifecycle management.","responsibilities":"Product & Roadmap Influence: Work directly with engineering and design teams to ensure user needs are integrated into product planning and development from the earliest stages. Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer advocacy. Develop team members' skills in both technical understanding and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Requires best-in-class oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level
Experience and ability to synthesize technologies into product communication for broad audience including customers, media, analysts, and leading industry specialists
Technical track record working closely with engineering/technical teams from an inbound marketing perspective including during early research and development
You are skilled at developing and exercising cross-functional influence; translating between business owners and technical teams
A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
You drive results, are upbeat and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed
Grace under pressure and ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and rapidly evolving situations with composure and sound judgment. Comfort making difficult trade-offs between competing priorities
Advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years Product Management experience, including at least one entire product development cycle from concept to launch
Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities
Recent experience within the last 3 years with consumer software products and technologies for software platforms, or adjacent
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking and maintaining composure under pressure
Bachelor's degree required

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $243,100 and $365,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
