The Interactive Experiences group is part of Apple Marcom and supports the shopping and buying experiences of Apple products, software, and services on its digital platforms - places like apple.com, Apple Store App, Apple Store Online, and third-party retailers. We partner with teams across the company to create, scale, and deliver outstanding commerce experiences that brings the magic of Apple to every touchpoint in the customer experience.

Description

As a Senior Designer on the Interactive Experiences team, you will be responsible for designing the interfaces and experiences for Apple's key retail platforms. This role focuses on crafting considered, elegant, and effective customer-facing solutions. The Senior Designer works in collaboration with other creative and technical disciplines to translate concepts into beautiful and functional designs that define the future of Apple's digital commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Create original designs that align to project goals and overall creative direction, fluid templates and standards.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Associate Creative Directors, and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts.
  • Anticipate and solve for design challenges, as well as existing conditions.
  • Prepare for creative reviews by optimizing files and presentation materials.
  • Guide ideas from concept to final execution, ensuring they meet both creative and business objectives within the project scope.
  • Consult technical disciplines to ensure designs work within limitations and prepare files with all necessary information to support design intent.
  • Ensure final deliverables like layout, images, and typography are flawless.
  • Continually seek opportunities to refine design thinking and improve workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience specializing in visual design for the web, mobile and/or iOS app design.
  • Professional experience in a marketing or e-commerce design environment.
  • An online portfolio of original work demonstrating experience with e-commerce, user-centered design, and a strong visual aesthetic.
  • High proficiency in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create high fidelity prototypes to convey preferred states, motion, and/or behaviors for interactive concepts.
  • Strong understanding of web and app development principles, including HTML, CSS, and iOS technologies.
  • Deep understanding of crafting for brand voice, aesthetic, and tone.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Sketch, with experience in organizing files for design iteration, setting up files for web and app production, and adhering to graphic design standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace, delivering high-quality design quickly.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to both creative and technical audiences.
  • Understanding 3D tools and AI is highly preferred.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $221,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
