Senior AI Agent Engineer

Claris, an Apple company with over 30 years of experience building transformative software, is entering a new era of AI-native development. We are looking for a Senior AI Agent Engineer to own the design and development of scalable backend infrastructure that powers intelligent,

autonomous workflows. In this role, you'll architect and implement resilient systems that

support multi-agent coordination, context-aware task execution, and seamless integration with

internal and third-party services.

Description

Your leadership will drive the real-time orchestration of agents that interact with data, APIs, and users-unlocking smarter, faster, and more adaptive applications at scale.

Success in this role requires strong programming proficiency, along with deep knowledge of agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, and modern AI toolchains.

Hands-on experience building agents using Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent frameworks

Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, and container orchestration using Kubernetes

Experience designing and implementing workflow orchestration and execution systems

Familiarity with document and graph data storage technologies like MongoDB or KuzuDB

Understanding of AI memory systems, including contextual embeddings and long-term memory management; bonus for experience with LangMem or LangGraph

Awareness of ethical AI principles, particularly around user privacy, data security, and responsible model integration

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

2-3 years experience with a focus on AI systems or intelligent agents

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or Go

Solid understanding of AI infrastructure, architectures, and tooling
