QA Engineer - Health Software

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to help ensure our Health experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying critical software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of software development. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering, Project Management, and QA.
Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer you'll have the opportunity to have a direct hand in crafting the next advancements in Apple's health software ecosystem. We work on the Health app - a platform for Health and Fitness efforts across Apple - as well as the Research App and related features and experiences that broaden the definition of what our platform can do. You will work with experienced engineers, designers, and medical experts to qualify and refine features that delight users as well as form a solid technical foundation for future development. In this position, you will need to be self-directed, creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Strong technical and interpersonal skills are all essential.","responsibilities":"Functional testing of Health Software features on Apple's OS platforms, often across concurrent release vectors
Execution of automated test scripts and analysis of their results alongside focused, creative manual testing
Design and implementation of test plans and test cases
Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system
Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of your areas of responsibility
Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolutions
Preferred Qualifications
An enthusiasm for user-focused design and shipping high-quality technology
Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
Proven experience creating test plans for new products and features
Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
A passion for health and health-related technology
Previous work with regulated medical devices is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in Software Quality Assurance on iOS or similar
Independent thinker with the ability to proactively triage, investigate, and debug difficult technical and UX problems autonomously as well as collaboratively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
Passion for quality assurance in software, including developing, extending and maintaining test plans, methodologies, as well as automation libraries
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
