We are looking for an experienced and driven Product Safety Lab Operations and
Engineering Lead to oversee our Product Safety Laboratory, supporting the evaluation
and certification of consumer electronics. This role blends technical depth in product
safety standards (IEC 62368-1) with strong operational, leadership, and continuous
improvement capabilities.

Develop, track, and report on key performance metrics using real-time dashboard.
Manage operational and capital budgets, including forecasting and procurement.
Continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO/IEC 17025 for internal and external audits.
Serve as the primary liaison with external partners (IECEE CB Scheme, regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies) to ensure product certification and global market access
Lead root-cause analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) initiatives.
Drive process improvements leveraging Lean methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, VSM) and data analysis tools (I.e. Python, Tableau) to optimize workflows, turnaround time, and data accuracy.
Guide the development and validation of new test methods and ensure accuracy, repeatability, reproducibility, and compliance
Ensure traceability of test results, calibrations, and data.
Support safety investigations, risk assessments, and data analysis.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technicians and test engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, technical rigor, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Manage staffing schedules and resources to meet project priorities and timelines.
Apply Agile methodologies to plan daily task and coordinate projects with Pengineering teams.
Communicate progress, risks, and findings effectively to technical and leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product safety testing or laboratory operations
Hands-on experience certifying consumer electronics under IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950, 62368, 62133, and 60065 under CB Scheme.
Demonstrated impact in reducing process waste, accelerating test turnaround, and enhancing data quality by implementing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Lean principles.
Proficiency in Tableau, Python, or equivalent tools for data analysis, automation, and real-time KPI visualization.
Experience implementing and managing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Formal training in Lean, and Master Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma Certifications.
Minimum Qualifications
MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
8+ years of experience in product safety testing and laboratory operations (6+ years with an advanced degree).
Proven experience maintaining/managing an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited lab and working knowledge of CB Scheme certification processes.
Deep knowledge of IEC 62368-1 for consumer electronics ad demonstrated success implementing Lean or continuous improvement methodologies to improve throughput and processes
Experience developing and managing CapEx / OpEx budgets and making data-driven decisions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills; capable of motivating teams and collaborating across disciplines.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and data integrity.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment balancing technical depth, quality, and speed.
Ability to travel up to 20% without restrictions.
